Job Title: RN/Medical Review Analyst
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
About the Job
Provide medical review and oversight in the completion of Medicare Set-Asides. Provide consultation to attorneys and others related to medical subject areas. Identify workflow and quality issues related to the medical review process, and serve as a lead to Medical Records Specialists in the preparation of medical narratives and other documentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or graduate of nursing school strongly preferred. Current RN license preferred. Certified Life Care Planner a plus.
- Experience in nursing, paralegal, or medical records review required.
- Superior analytical skills. Attentive to detail and highly accurate. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organization skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain flexible to meet client and attorney needs. Able to take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done. Can understand and follow specific, detailed instructions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels. Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office familiarity.
Equipment, Physical/Mental Demands, Working Conditions
Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, keyboard, calculator, fax machine, duplicating machine, etc.
Sedentary position which requires sitting for extended periods, most or all of the day. Some standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate extensively via email. Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate via telephone.
Able to deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities. Make decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas and technologies. Communicate and successfully interact with various personalities at all organizational levels.
Typical office setting, normally Monday through Friday business hours. Occasional overtime as required.
