Ashley N. Waring
Ashley N. Waring is an Associate of the Workers’ Compensation Group. She defends self-insured employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in workers’ compensation litigation.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Waring was an Associate Attorney at an employment rights law firm, handling employment discrimination, wage, and whistleblower claims. She also represented clients at mediations and unemployment hearings, as well as before regulatory agencies, and in state and federal courts.
Ms. Waring graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2015, where she served as Articles Editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy, Chief Justice of the Wake Forest University Moot Court Program, and both President and Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. She participated in the London Study Abroad Program and the Cross Disciplinary Development Program in Nicaragua that assisted small businesses with a variety of legal issues. Ms. Waring was also involved in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic, where she prepared briefs and presented an oral argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. See United States v. Newbold, 791 F.3d 455 (4th Cir. 2015). In addition, Ms. Waring was named to the Order of the Barristers and the Pro Bono Honor Society.
Rounding out her education, Ms. Waring received a B.A. in Political Science from Rowan University in 2012. At Rowan, she played on the women’s basketball team and was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha, Psi Chi, and Phi Beta Delta honor societies.
Ms. Waring is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
