Asra Hashmi is an Associate of the Workers’ Compensation Group at Burns White, defending insurance companies, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims.

Ms. Hashmi received both a J.D. and B.S in Finance from Duquesne University. While in law school, she focused her studies on Civil Litigation, and received several accolades and awards for her achievements in trial advocacy. For her contributions as a National Trial Advocacy Team competitor, she was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award and the Katie Elisabeth Westbrook Award, and was named to the Louis L. Manderino Honor Society.

An active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, she is currently involved in the Young Lawyers Division 2016-2017 Bar Leadership Initiative Program.

Ms. Hashmi is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
