Bryon M. Chowka
Bryon M. Chowka is an Associate of the Workers’ Compensation Group at Burns White, defending insurance companies, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims.
Prior to joining the group, Mr. Chowka worked at the firm as a law clerk, where he conducted legal research and drafted motions and other documents for all practice groups. Specifically, he worked on workers’ compensation, appellate, Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), employment, and products liability matters. Additionally, he has experience in personal injury litigation involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability claims. Mr. Chowka also held a judicial internship position for Judge William Harvey Wiest of the Northumberland County Court of Common Pleas.
Mr. Chowka is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he focused his studies on civil litigation. While in law school, he served as a volunteer judge for the American Mock Trial Association, and competed in various moot court competitions at the university and national levels. In addition to representing Pitt Law at the E. Earle Zehmer National Moot Court Competition, Mr. Chowka was also the 1st Place Winner and received the Best Brief Award at the 2015 University of Pittsburgh School of Law Appellate Moot Court Competition. He received a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Susquehanna University, where he was also a varsity letterman in football.
Mr. Chowka is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
