Douglas J. Keil
Douglas J. Keil is an Associate of the Workers’ Compensation Group at Burns White, defending self-insured employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Keil was engaged in the practice of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and Social Security disability litigation. Through that experience, he developed the skills and knowledge to successfully manage Workers’ Compensation case files through legal research, legal writing, hearing preparation, and daily correspondence with opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and lienholders. Additionally, he has experience handling due diligence, title curative measures, and certified title opinions for the oil and gas industry. Mr. Keil has also held several law clerk positions, including a clerkship for the Hon. Oliver J. Lobaugh, President Judge of the Venango County Court of Common Pleas.
In 2013, Mr. Keil graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. While there, he was a member of the Moot Court Board, a volunteer educator in the Street Law program, and the public service chair of the Student Bar Association. Mr. Keil received a B.A. in Administration of Justice, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009.
Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, Mr. Keil belongs to the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
