Matthew S. Polaha
Associate Matthew S. Polaha defends hospitals, long-term health care facilities, and individual health care professionals in medical malpractice matters.
Prior to joining Burns White, Mr. Polaha served for more than 13 years as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, where he led divisions, mentored sailors, and managed nearly 900 reserve mobilizations. He currently serves in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Judge Advocate General Corps.
Mr. Polaha graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 2015. While there, he was a Staff Writer for the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal. In addition, he held a certified legal internship at the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and a judicial summer internship at the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.
A member of the American, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey Bar Associations, Mr. Polaha is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Outside of the legal profession, Mr. Polaha enjoys training for and competing in marathons across the United States. He has completed 11 so far in several cities, including Chicago, Kona, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and San Diego.
