Job Title: Administrative Assistant

About the Job
Provide clerical and administrative support including opening new files, making travel arrangements, preparing correspondence, document management, making and receiving phone calls, and calendar management.
- High school diploma or equivalent. College, business school, or other relevant continuing education preferred.
- At least two years’ experience as a secretary, administrative assistant, or similar role in a professional business office environment.
- Strong secretarial skills including typing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar. Excellent technical skills including MS Office applications. Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Ability to organize and prioritize workload, efficiently handle multiple projects, and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines. Able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, and anticipate what needs to be done. Adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities. Can understand and follow specific, detailed instructions. Attentive to detail and highly accurate.
Equipment, Physical/Mental Demands, Working Conditions
Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, typewriter, calculator, fax machine, duplicating machine, etc.
Sitting for extended periods, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines. Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate in person and via telephone with internal and external customers.
Able to deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities. Make decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas and technologies. Communicate and successfully interact with various personalities at all organizational levels.
Typical office setting, normally Monday through Friday business hours. Occasional overtime as required.
