Michelle D. Kaminski
Biography
Michelle Kaminski is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Ms. Kaminski focuses her practice on Healthcare and Long-Term Care law defending doctors, hospitals, and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters.
Through her involvement with the Lackawanna Domestic Relations Section, Ms. Kaminski handles diverse matters within the practice of family law, including guardianship proceedings, and acts as lead counsel in matters involving domestic relations, child support, and disestablishment of paternity cases.
Prior to accepting a position with the firm, Ms. Kaminski worked as a law clerk at Burns White. She received her Juris Doctor from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and her Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
Ms. Kaminski is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.

- Secured the dismissal of a corporate negligence claim in a medical malpractice action involving a specialty practice group in Lackawanna County. After extensively briefing the argument that a specialty practice group does not play a central role in the delivery of total health care to patients, nor should it be bound by the corporate negligence standards as set forth in Thompson v. Nason Hospital, Plaintiff’s corporate liability claim was subsequently withdrawn.
- Secured the dismissal of a corporate liability claim in a medical malpractice action involving a physician practice group. Counsel successfully argued that physician practice groups have neither the role of a comprehensive healthcare center, nor a central role in the delivery of total health care to patients. Plaintiff’s corporate claim was subsequently dismissed, with prejudice.
