Jennifer L. McPeak
Member Jennifer L. McPeak joined Burns White in 2001. A seasoned trial lawyer in both state and federal courts, Ms. McPeak brings a diverse background in healthcare law, professional malpractice, and civil rights law to her litigation practice at the firm.
With a primary focus in medical malpractice, Ms. McPeak defends nursing homes, home healthcare organizations, hospitals, physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, as well as other executives, such as real estate and insurance agents, against professional, general, and premises liability claims.
In addition, Ms. McPeak advises clients and speaks regularly on employment issues and risk management strategies, including those related to documentation, the chain of command, arbitration agreements, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Ms. McPeak obtained a Juris Doctor from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1996. In 1993, she graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
Ms. McPeak is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
