Nicholas F. Bunner

Nicholas F. Bunner is an Associate in Burns White’s Energy Practice Group. His practice focuses primarily on counseling various energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters, including title examination, title curative, mineral conveyancing, regulatory matters, quiet title actions and due diligence. He also supports the firm’s Real Estate and Business Practices Groups.

Prior to joining Burns White, Mr. Bunner was employed as an attorney at a large Pittsburgh-based firm where he counseled clients on various transactional matters related to energy and natural resources.

Mr. Bunner graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts as a double major in History and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2016. While a student there, he held leadership positions in numerous student organizations including President of the Student Bar Association and Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He also served as managing editor of the Journal of Technology, Law & Policy.

During law school, Mr. Bunner interned with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office and participated in the University of Pittsburgh Health Law Clinic, obtaining special education accommodations and disability benefits for clinic clients.

Mr. Bunner is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, and is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association where he currently serves on Council for the Young Lawyers Division and the Membership Outreach Committee.
