Scott D. Josephson
Scott D. Josephson is Of Counsel at Burns White, and is located in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Mr. Josephson brings trial work experience in personal injury, employment, and workers’ compensation-related matters to the Healthcare and Long-Term Care Practice Group at Burns White, where he specializes in medical malpractice defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Josephson served in a similar capacity for other local defense-oriented firms. In addition, he was a summer extern to the Hon. Mary DiGiacomo Colins, of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas during his third year of law school.
Mr. Josephson received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from University of Maryland — College Park. While at Villanova, he served as Associate Editor for Student Works on the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, and his comment, “This Dog Has Teeth — Cooperative Federalism and Environmental Law,” was published by the Environmental Law Journal in 2005.
A native of Texas, Mr. Josephson is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
