Vincent R. Cocco

Vincent Cocco is a seasoned trial attorney in the Philadelphia office of Burns White, concentrating his practice on defending individual providers, healthcare institutions, care facilities, and non-profits against professional and general liability claims. He also represents these clients in premises liability, corporate liability, and employment matters throughout state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Cocco is a member of the firm’s Rapid Response and Incident Management Team, which consists of a group of skilled attorneys who serve as the front line of defense and support in protecting clients facing police or regulatory investigations, including allegations of sexual misconduct, physical abuse and neglect, child abuse and inappropriate touching.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cocco was an Assistant District Attorney for the Chester County District Attorney’s Office where he was as a prosecutor for Major Case Investigations and the Drug and Organized Crime Unit. Mr. Cocco successfully prosecuted numerous high profile jury trials, including homicide, sexual assault, and drug delivery resulting in death cases. During his time at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Cocco was responsible for drafting policy and procedure regarding certain investigations, and has presented in front of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a policy hearing regarding the opioid epidemic.

Mr. Cocco is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Chester County Bar Association, and Montgomery County Bar Association.
