About the Job

Responsible for supporting multiple attorneys in their day-to-day practice, completing various administrative tasks, and serving as a point of contact and providing customer service to clients. Complete transcription and preparation of letters and other documents. Coordinate workflow to/from the Production Center, ensuring work is completed within deadlines and according to attorneys’ specifications. Maintain calendar and keep track of deadlines. Utilize various online systems including WCAIS. Review client work products and get them out the door.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. College, business school, or other relevant continuing education preferred.
  • At least one year administrative support experience such as secretary, administrative assistant, or similar. Law firm experience preferred.
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service. Strong secretarial skills including typing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar. Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications, especially MS Word. Ability to organize and prioritize workload, efficiently handle multiple projects, and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines. Able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, and anticipate what needs to be done. Can understand and follow specific, detailed instructions. Attentive to detail and highly accurate. Professional manner with clients, attorneys, and others.

Equipment, Physical/Mental Demands, Working Conditions

Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, typewriter, calculator, fax machine, duplicating machine, etc.

Sitting for extended periods, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines. Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate in person and via telephone with internal and external customers.

Able to deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities. Make decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas and technologies. Communicate and successfully interact with various personalities at all organizational levels.
