Job Title: Legal Information Analyst

About the Job

Working closely with members of the Legal Department in a Fortune 100 company, the Legal Analyst will assist with gathering and analyzing records and information for a variety of commercial litigation cases throughout the country. The individual in this role will perform comprehensive searches, reviews, and evaluations of large volumes of data and information. The individual will organize information, apply technology in the effective and efficient analysis of data, and interpret and summarize findings.

The Legal Analyst role is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates with an interest in the law or considering law school, or who would like to pursue a technical analyst role in a large corporate setting.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Paralegal or Legal Studies, or other relevant field is required.
  • STRONG COMPUTER SKILLS ARE REQUIRED including knowledge of Windows operating systems and understanding of database systems and concepts. Experience with litigation (eDiscovery) database programs are a big plus. Additional relevant technical skills helpful including experience with document management systems, file sharing systems (OneDrive, SharePoint), and spreadsheet development.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Able to interact with professionals at various levels. Able to multi-task and coordinate the completion of projects with competing deadlines. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent follow-up and follow-through. Quick learner with a strong work ethic.

Equipment, Physical/Mental Demands, Working Conditions

Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, typewriter, calculator, fax machine, duplicating machine, etc.

Sitting for extended periods, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines. Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate in person and via telephone with internal and external customers.

Able to deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities. Make decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas and technologies. Communicate and successfully interact with various personalities at all organizational levels.
