Biography
Alexandra C. Totaro is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office where she primarily defends clients in actions arising from professional and general liability. These include professional liability claims against architects, engineers, and other design professionals, alleging damages for delay, design defects, property damage, and personal injuries. Ms. Totaro routinely handles construction defect claims as part of her practice, and defends construction industry clients, oil and gas industry clients, hospitals, universities, retail companies, and other non-profit corporations against a wide range of personal injury claims, including those for catastrophic loss. Additionally, Ms. Totaro defends doctors, hospitals and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice, professional and general liability matters.
Prior to accepting a position with the firm, Ms. Totaro worked as a law clerk at Burns White. She also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Megan McCarthy King of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, where she assumed research and drafting responsibilities for judicial bench memos and memorandum opinions including areas of general criminal and civil law, criminal procedure, contract law, family law and estate law. Ms. Totaro also worked as a law clerk at a business litigation and counseling firm in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Totaro received her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature, cum laude, from West Chester University.
Ms.Totaro is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
