Biography
Corey C. Kirkwood is an Associate in Burns White’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania headquarters. Mr. Kirkwood focuses his practice on railroad law where he represents Class I and short-line railroads in cases that involve allegations of personal and occupational injuries and wrongful death.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Kirkwood was an attorney at a Pittsburgh firm where he defended insurance companies in general liability actions, including assessing claims, drafting and filing complaints, and served as first chair for trial. In addition, he was an attorney at another area firm where he defended healthcare professionals in medical negligence actions.
Mr. Kirkwood received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University School of Law, where he placed in the top three for several national mock trial championships. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Pennsylvania State University, receiving the Odyssey of the Mind World Champion award.
Ms. Kirkwood is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
