Biography

Holly M. Whalen is a Member in Burns White’s Pittsburgh office where she concentrates her practice on the representation of licensed professionals, including ethics, disciplinary and licensure matters, the defense of legal malpractice and Dragonetti Act cases, subpoena assistance, law firm disputes, risk avoidance and the defense of other professional liability claims.  She represents professionals in proceedings before both state and federal trial and appellate courts across Pennsylvania as well as various administrative bodies who oversee the licensing and discipline of licensed professionals in the Commonwealth.    

As an experienced professional liability and ethics attorney, Ms. Whalen regularly speaks on a variety of topics affecting legal professionals, including risk avoidance and ethics throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Ms. Whalen received her law degree from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.  She received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College. 

Ms. Whalen is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Tax Court.
