Biography

Jacob D. Schramm is an Associate in Burns White’s Pittsburgh office where he focuses his practice in the area of Workers’ Compensation.  Mr. Schramm defends employers and insurance companies in Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schramm was an attorney at a Pittsburgh firm where he counseled municipal and private sector employers on labor and employment matter.  He handled matters concerning federal and state employment laws including the Public Employer Relations Act, Workers’ Compensation Act, Unemployment Compensation Act, Fair Labor Standard Act, American with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and others.

Mr. Schramm received his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law where he received the CALI Awards for Excellence in Torts II.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, and his Master of Education, cum laude, from Slippery Rock University.  Mr. Schramm also holds a Public Pension Professional Certificate from Penn State University.

Mr. Schramm is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
