Biography
Joseph M. Verratti is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Mr. Verratti focuses his practice on the defense of nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and medical professionals in nursing home and medical malpractice claims.
Prior to joining Burns White, Mr. Verratti was an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Office of the State’s Attorney for Cecil County where he prosecuted felony cases. In addition, he is a former Chief of their District Court Division where he trained and oversaw ASA’s in prosecuting misdemeanors and serious traffic offenses. Mr. Verratti clerked for the Honorable William W. Davis, Jr. in the Circuit Court for Cecil County prior to his admission to the bar.
Mr. Verratti received his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Rutgers University. While attending Rutgers University, he was awarded the Jack Weiner Memorial Award.
Mr. Verratti is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
