Biography

Keith Harris is a Member of the firm and works from Burns White’s New York City and Chatham, New Jersey offices. He serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Transportation and Logistics Practice Group. His practice focuses on the defense of catastrophic claims, trucking and transportation, professional malpractice matters, dram shop liability, claims involving employment related practices and alleged violations of federal and state discrimination laws. In addition, his litigation work includes the defense of product liability claims and construction defect claims and New York labor law matters. He serves as counsel on contract related matters for corporate clients and provides counsel relative to the drafting and implementation of corporate policies and practices. Mr. Harris has tried multiple jury cases to conclusion in both New Jersey and New York state and federal courts and has been admitted pro hac vice as lead counsel in matters pending in the federal courts in Ohio and Florida. In addition, he has appellate experience in both state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Burns White and currently, Mr. Harris represents clients in matters related to transportation, professional malpractice, employment, negligent security, product liability, construction and corporate policies and practices. He has lectured and conducted seminars concerning issues of significance to insurance companies, self-insureds and corporate audiences.

Mr. Harris is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York and Northern District of New York.
