Biography
Kira M. Rivera is Of Counsel in the firm’s Philadelphia office, focusing her practice in the area of Healthcare and Long-Term care law. Ms. Rivera defends doctors, hospitals, and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rivera represented commercial and individual clients in liability claims involving general liability, premises liability and construction/design defects. She also represented clients in liability claims involving negligence, product liability, employment discrimination and defamation.
Ms. Rivera received her Executive L.L.M. in Litigation Management from Baylor University School of Law. She received her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, cum laude, where she served as an Executive Copy Editor for the Duquesne University Health Law Journal. Ms. Rivera received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oberlin College where she played NCAC Women’s Basketball and Lacrosse.
Ms. Rivera is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New Jersey, as well as, the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals of the Third Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia.
