Biography
Shalisa J. Brunson is an Associate at the firm’s Philadelphia office, where she concentrates her practice on representing healthcare providers and medical professionals in professional and general liability cases.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Brunson served as a Project Coordinator as part of a summer fellowship program at a tech company where she furthered the advancement of the cohort by providing course instruction and mentorship. She also served as a Staff Attorney at the U.S. Department of Education, investigating allegations of discrimination. She started her career as a Housing Attorney for Philadelphia Legal Assistance where she advocated for homeowners and participated in community education.
Ms. Brunson received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. She received her Master of Business Administration from Strayer University and her Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University.
Ms. Brunson is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court.
