Burns White’s Healthcare and Litigation Practice Group in Pittsburgh is a well-established team that has successfully defending and hospitals in a wide spectrum of complex high exposure medical malpractice cases. The team also represents defendants in discrimination and abuse cases, business litigation and products liability actions. Our work can be demanding at times – but it is rewarding and challenging. Teaching and ongoing development is important to us, and there is opportunity for team members at all levels to do substantive work including court appearances, and involvement in discovery and depositions as well as work with expert witnesses.

Ideal candidates are…

  • Pennsylvania license is required. West Virginia and Ohio preferred
  • 3-5 yrs experience in healthcare, medical malpractice, personal injury, or general liability preferred.
  • Willing to take initiative, ask questions, learn and do new things, take on challenging assignments, and collaborate with team members to achieve goals
  • Able to balance multiple priorities, apply analytical and creative thinking, interact effectively with clients and other contacts, and function independently in a team environment

The salary range for attorney positions is $90,000 – 180,000 based on position, length and applicability of experience, scope of responsibility, and ability to bring or potential to expand business.
