Attorneys Martz & Waddell Obtain Unanimous Defense Verdict on Behalf of Hospital & Health System

Last week, Attorneys Rebecca Waddell and Daniel Martz obtained a unanimous defense verdict on behalf of the hospital and health system. Plaintiff claimed that the defendants were liable for failing to timely diagnose and treat an infection following surgery for severe Charcot foot, which was performed by the co-defendant surgeon. Plaintiff argued that he looked to the client in choosing the podiatric surgeon who performed the procedure. The case proceeded to a 6-day trial in front of Judge Mahon in Chester County Court of Common Pleas. In a unique ending, the last day of testimony and closings were held on Saturday, at the jury’s specific request.
