Biography
Carol M. Cowhey is a seasoned defense attorney with extensive experience representing hospitals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers against complex claims in the area of medical malpractice within the Commonwealth. She has handled a wide range of matters involving all aspects of medicine, including psychiatric medicine and matters both complex and catastrophic, and has worked closely with a prominent infertility practice providing legal and risk management services especially in the area of informed consent.
Ms. Cowhey also handles general liability claims within hospital and university settings, and has experience in the retail industry as well. Additionally, she gained valuable experience in the professional liability arena defending attorneys specializing in patent law.
Ms. Cowhey was a scholarship athlete of the Women’s Field Hockey team at LaSalle University. After a career with Unisys Corporation, Ms. Cowhey attended Villanova Law School where she received her J.D. in 1992.
