PITTSBURGH, September 22, 2021—Duquesne University School of Law student, Claire Neiberg, is the recipient of the 2021 Burns White Diversity in the Law Scholarship, awarded to a first-year, diverse student at the University’s School of Law. Ms. Neiberg, a student at Duquesne University, was selected from a competitive pool of qualified applicants.
“The scholarship’s purpose is to provide opportunities for underrepresented lawyers in the legal community,” said Mary-Jo Rebelo, Chief Executive Officer, “Claire’s passion for the law and her commitment to advocating for others is inspirational. We are pleased to support Claire on her legal journey through not only funding but also mentoring and practical work experience.”

The annual Burns White Diversity in the Law Scholarship is awarded to a qualified candidate who adds diversity to the incoming class, and includes a paid summer clerkship at the firm following the successful completion of the recipient’s second year of law school. In addition, a mentor from Burns White will work with Ms. Neiberg for the duration of her legal education.
