Burns White trial attorney, Stuart T. O’Neal III was part of a trial team that secured a full defense verdict on behalf of the Firm’s hospital client and three (3) cardiologists, as well as a cardiothoracic surgeon. The allegations revolved around a purported failure of the team to order a timely heart catheterization and subsequent bypass surgery. A jury of 12, after deliberations, found all defendants did not violate the standard of care, nor cause the plaintiff any harm. The Burns White team in this matter included Marcy Tanker and senior paralegal Ashley Monaghan. This is the third defense verdict over the last year for the O’Neal team in as many trials taken to verdict.
