Attorney Monica Fillmore Named A Fellow For The Leadership Council On Legal Diversity

Burns White is pleased to announce that Monica C. Fillmore has been named a member of the 2022 class of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows. Ms. Fillmore will join a select group of attorneys carefully chosen to participate in this landmark, year-long program created by the LCLD to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Burns White is honored to have had seven attorneys in as many years chosen to participate in LCLD programs.

“I am extremely honored to be selected as an LCLD Fellow,” said Monica Fillmore, “This program will not only enhance Burns White’s commitment to diversity and inclusion but will help to expand my horizons by engaging with attorneys from across the country with unique backgrounds and experiences. I look forward to advancing my skills and abilities to better serve our clients through this opportunity.”

Ms. Fillmore is a Member of the firm’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey office. She is a skilled litigator who represents healthcare providers and institutions in long-term care, medical malpractice, and dental malpractice matters. Ms. Fillmore has extensive experience successfully representing her clients throughout professional board proceedings and in personal injury matters.

The LCLD Fellows Program offers Fellows the opportunity to participate in a multi-tiered professional development series and the ability to network with and learn from top leaders in the legal field.  The goal of the year-long, professional development program is to produce a generation of attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their institutions and the legal profession at large.

The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have pledged themselves, through our Leaders at the Front initiative and other means, to create a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. Our action programs are designed to attract, inspire, and nurture the talent in society and within our organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership. By producing tangible results in our institutions, we work to promote inclusiveness in our organizations, our circles of influence, and our society, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession.
