Latia R. J. Hubbard
Biography
Latia R. J. Hubbard is an Associate in the firm’s Railroad Law Practice Group, representing Class I and short line railroads in cases that involve allegations of personal and occupational injuries and wrongful death.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Hubbard was an Assistant District Attorney for the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office where she handled felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. She also represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania when resolving cases through jury trial, non-jury trial, and plea negotiations.
Ms. Hubbard serves on the Board of Directors for Assemble, a nonprofit that offers people of all ages opportunities to learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Assemble focuses on using learning as a tool to create a more equitable future.
Ms. Hubbard received her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts.
Ms. Hubbard is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Texas, and Missouri.
