Attorneys Jackson & Sargent Obtain Summary Judgment in Cancer Case for Railroad Client in New York

In a matter that commenced in Albany, NY, attorneys Jeffrey Jackson and Amanda Sargent successfully defended a leukemia cancer claim asserted against a railroad client based on exposures to diesel exhaust and other toxic chemicals. After several months of discovery, Jackson and Sargent received a summary judgment ruling in favor of the railroad client and dismissing Plaintiff’s claims pursuant to the statute of limitations under the Federal Employer’s Liability Act (“FELA”).
