On May 22, 2024 – after more than three years of litigation – a Burns White team of Mary-Jo Rebelo, Tom Pohl, Courtney Brennan, and Mike Conway obtained a full defense win in a complex ERISA putative federal class action. The case was originally brought against four steel industry and railroad clients, all of whom were represented by the Burns White team. The plaintiffs’ original, first, and second amended complaints were all successfully defeated on motions to dismiss, ultimately leading the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania to enter final judgment against the plaintiffs.
