Biography

Shelby R. Petro is an Associate in Burns White’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey office.  Ms. Petro defends doctors, hospitals and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Petro most recently served as an Assistant Law Clerk for the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, for The Honorable Colleen D. Duffy.  She was also an Associate at a New York firm where she assisted clients in matters related to medical malpractice and appeals.

Ms. Petro received her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, magna cum laude, where she was a Computer Editor and Editorial Member of the Syracuse Law Review.  She received her Master of Science degree in Forensic Science from Syracuse University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, Economics, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University.

Ms. Petro is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
