Biography

Rileigh B. Smirl is an Associate in the firm’s Huntington, West Virginia office where she represents clients in commercial litigation, construction, and in insurance and bad faith defense matters.

Prior to accepting a position with Burns White, Ms. Smirl was a Law Clerk at the firm where she conducted comprehensive legal research and assisted in drafting legal documents for trial.   She also served as a Legal Intern at a West Virginia firm where she assisted in family law matters.

Ms. Smirl received her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from Marshall University, where she participated in the study abroad program at Oxford University.

Ms. Smirl is licensed to practice law in the state of West Virginia.
