Biography
Elizabeth A. Stefanski is a Member in the Philadelphia office of Burns White, and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Employment Practices Liability group. Ms. Stefanski is a skilled litigator experienced in complex state and federal matters. Ms. Stefanski focuses her practice on counseling and defending individuals, corporations and healthcare institutions in both professional and employment liability matters with a focus on medical malpractice, employment discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge. She has experience successfully representing her clients through all phases of litigation including depositions, hearings, mediations and trial. Ms. Stefanski has the insight and experience to deliver positive outcomes in the most difficult cases.
Ms. Stefanski is actively involved in the legal community. She has been a speaker at Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA) events as well as for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on healthcare and employment litigation matters. Ms. Stefanski oversees the firm’s summer associate program and is also a member of the Women’s Initiative.
Prior to joining Burns White, she worked as an Associate at an insurance defense firm in Philadelphia. Ms. Stefanski graduated from Widener University School of Law. While in law school, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Matthew D. Carrafiello, in the Court of Common Pleas for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Business.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and their three active children attending their sporting events.
Ms. Stefanski is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
