Biography
Abigail R. Martin is an Associate in the Healthcare and Long-Term Care Litigation Group in the firm’s Wheeling, West Virginia office. Ms. Martin focuses her practice on defending medical professional negligence claims involving medical professionals, healthcare institutions, and long-term care facilities.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Martin was a Student Attorney for the Domestic Violence Docket where she advocated on behalf of victims of domestic violence. She also served as a Student Clinician at the West Virginia University Law General Litigation Clinic where she advocated on behalf of clients to the Monongalia County Circuit and Magistrate Court’s on estates, fraudulent housing schemes and immigration issues.
Ms. Martin is a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Employment Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Political Science from West Virginia University.
Ms. Martin is licensed to practice in the state of West Virginia, The United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, Ohio and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
