Biography
Adrienne R. Abner is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office, focusing her practice in the area of Healthcare and Long-Term care law. Ms. Abner defends doctors, hospitals, and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Abner was an attorney at the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project where she advocated for incarcerated individuals denied access to medication for-opioid use disorder (“MOUD”) and medication-for-assisted-treatment for opioid use disorder (“MAT”) in violation of the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments, Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act.
Ms. Abner received her Juris Doctor from Roger William University School of Law and her Master of Laws in Health Law and Policy from Hofstra University School of Law. Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctor, she received her Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University, her Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate in Forensics and General practice from Widener University School of Law Legal Education Institute. Additionally, Ms. Abner obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Widener University.
