Biography
Amanda M. Steve is an Associate in Burns White’s Cleveland office. Ms. Steve welcomes a good challenge and enjoys diving into details, navigating complicated issues, and finding creative solutions. Ms. Steve focuses her practice on the areas of mass torts, toxic torts, and transportation litigation. She defends clients in cases involving allegations of personal and occupational injuries and wrongful death.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Steve served as a Judicial Attorney for The Honorable Mary J. Boyle in Ohio’s Eighth District Court of Appeals, where she reviewed appellate filings and briefs, analyzed trial court records, conducted extensive legal research, and drafted bench memoranda and judicial opinions. Ms. Steve also worked as an Attorney at a regional firm in Cleveland, where she defended clients in personal injury cases involving a wide variety of claims, including wrongful death and catastrophic injury.
Ms. Steve began her career as a paralegal before attending Cleveland State University College of Law’s evening program. She continued to work full-time throughout law school and participated in a clerkship under The Honorable Eileen T. Gallagher at the Eighth District Court of Appeals before graduating with her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude. Ms. Steve received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in international studies with a minor in criminal justice from the University of Dayton.
Ms. Steve is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
