Biography
Corey A. Stanford is an Associate in Burns White’s Pittsburgh office. Mr. Stanford focuses his practice in the areas of insurance coverage and extracontractual litigation, employment and general litigation.
Before joining Burns White, Mr. Stanford was an associate at a Pittsburgh-area firm, where he represented a diverse range of clients in complex commercial litigation matters. His experience includes working with the industrial manufacturing sector and handling multi-party litigation involving premises liability, deliberate intent, indemnification, products liability, and workplace safety claims. Additionally, he defended clients in employment discrimination trials, represented them in government agency investigations, and negotiated union contracts.
Mr. Stanford is adept at auditing wage and hour pay practices, revising employment handbooks, and conducting workplace investigations. He has also drafted and enforced non-competition agreements and other employment contracts, offering strategic advice on employment practices and policies. His expertise extends to advising clients on everyday personnel matters, including FMLA issues, employee discipline, and terminations
Mr. Stanford received his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law where he received the Shalom Moot Court Award. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The College of New Jersey.
Mr. Stanford is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
