Biography
Joseph T. Hosey is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Mr. Hosey focuses his practice on the defense of nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and medical professionals in nursing home and medical malpractice claims.
Prior to joining Burns White, Mr. Hosey was an Assistant District Attorney for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted a broad range of criminal cases including as a member of the Drugs and Firearms Crimes Unit. In addition, he has experience advising clients in United States and International Gaming issues including licensing, enforcement and regulatory compliance.
Mr. Hosey also served as a law clerk for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Medical Prosecution Unit, where he assisted attorneys with prosecuting doctors, chiropractors and physician’s assistant for violations of the Medical Practice Act of 1987.
Mr. Hosey obtained his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law where he was awarded the CALI Award in Law Practice Management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in History from Drexel University.
Mr. Hosey is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
