Biography
Matthew O. Sanyour is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office, focusing his practice in the area of Healthcare and Long-Term care law. Mr. Sanyour defends doctors, hospitals, and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters.
Prior to joining Burns White, Mr. Sanyour was an attorney at a Pennsylvania firm representing clients in insurance defense, general liability, and intellectual property matters. He has represented and advised corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, government entities, and individuals in employment, breach of contract, land use, civil rights, and wrongful death claims.
Mr. Sanyour received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he won the CALI Award in Trademark Law Practice and the CALI Award in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence. During law school and immediately thereafter, he also completed a post-baccalaureate course of study in Biology at the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in politics from Princeton University, where was a Junior Fellow in the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions.
Mr. Sanyour is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
He has volunteered as a local electoral official and was elected and served as an Inspector of Elections in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
