Ralph represents publicly traded companies, closely held businesses, individuals, and insurance companies in a broad range of complex, high-stakes litigation issues, including breach of contract/quasi-contract, non-compete and franchise agreements, intra-company shareholder/LLC governance issues, e-commerce transactions, tort defense litigation, wage and hour class actions, grand jury and regulatory proceedings, and compliance matters arising under state and federal laws, including the Americans With Disabilities Act.
For over 30 years, Ralph has represented the interests of one of the world’s largest insurance companies with respect to claims of institutional sexual abuse made or filed in Pennsylvania against the company’s insureds. Ralph’s representation has included coverage analysis, drafting support and review of coverage related documents, legislation tracking and analysis, monitoring of underlying lawsuits and all aspects of the defense of related sensitive, high-stakes insurance/excess indemnity coverage litigation in state and federal courts, including the defense of coverage claims filed as adversarial proceedings within Chapter 11 bankruptcies.
Ralph is a former Township Solicitor and Assistant Borough and School District Solicitor. He has represented school districts, municipal authorities, airport authorities, and hospitals in a variety of administrative, contract, and litigation matters.
Outside of the courtroom, Ralph has used various forms of alternate dispute resolution when beneficial to his clients’ best interests. He has successfully mediated and arbitrated claims involving insurance/excess indemnity coverage, wage and hour classification, professional malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, construction disputes, industrial/commercial equipment purchases, and accounting/mortgage/financial services.
Ralph graduated from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law in 1993 and received a B.G.S. in Political Science from the University of Nebraska in 1990.
Prior to attending law school, Ralph spent more than seven years in the U.S. Air Force, working as an ELINT/Electronic Intelligence Analyst.
