Biography

Rebecca J. Turano is an Associate in the firm’s Wilkes-Barre office.  Ms. Turano focuses her practice in the healthcare and long-term practice area, defending doctors, hospitals, and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Turano was an attorney at a New York firm where she represented clients in appeals, guardianship proceedings and civil cases in New York and Pennsylvania.  She represented skilled nursing facilities in complex Medicaid-related matters, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Ms. Turano received her Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law where she participated in the study abroad program at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in Women’s Studies and Sociology from Portland State University.

She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New York.
