Biography
Summer C. Thomas is an Associate in the firm’s Healthcare and Long-Term Care practice group and the Employment Practices Liability group, located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Ms. Thomas focuses her practice on the defense of doctors, hospitals, and long-term care health facilities in medical malpractice and liability matters. In addition, she counsels and defends individuals, corporations and healthcare institutions in both professional and employment liability matters.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Thomas served as a Judicial Law Clerk to The Honorable Michael J. Kassel, New Jersey Superior Court, Camden, New Jersey. During her clerkship she gained experience in employment discrimination suits, including, but not limited to, those involving whistleblower protection and retaliation.
Ms. Thomas received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware.
She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
