Biography
Syeda A. Ali is an Associate located in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Ms. Ali primarily focuses her practice in the areas of professional and general liability defense. Ms. Ali defends property owners and construction industry clients against a wide range of general liability claims arising from both personal injury and property damage. In addition, Ms. Ali represents architects, engineers, and other design professionals in defending professional liability claims. By way of example, these include claims for design errors and omissions, delay damages and personal injuries.
Prior to joining Burns White, Ms. Ali served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Douglas H. Hurd, Presiding Judge in the New Jersey Superior Court, Civil Division where she conducted research and legal analysis on various civil litigation matters. In addition, she served as a Legal Intern in the New Jersey Superior Court, Criminal Division and as a Special Intern in the Attorney General’s Office, Human Trafficking Division. During law school, she was a law clerk at a New Jersey firm where she focused on immigration law and at a Delaware firm where she assisted with civil litigation matters.
Ms. Ali received her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology, with a specialization in law and society, from The College of New Jersey.
Ms. Ali is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
