Attorneys Jackson, Horvat & Sargent Obtain Dismissal of Railroad Wrongful Death Cancer Case

On November 1, 2024, attorneys Jeff Jackson, Patrick Horvat, and Amanda Sargent secured a dismissal of a FELA wrongful death cancer case with prejudice after filing motions for summary judgment.  The former railroad employee’s estate alleged that decedent’s exposure to chemicals while working in a railroad car and locomotive shop caused his cancer and resulting death.  The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in Johnstown, PA.
