Biography
Kenneth N. Schott, III is a Member practicing in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment law, banking and financial services, professional liability defense and legal malpractice. Mr. Schott serves a diverse clientele from the financial services, business, insurance, transportation/logistics and manufacturing sectors.
Mr. Schott graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 2015, where he was a member of the Duquesne Law Review and served as its Production Editor. In addition, Mr. Schott received the CALI Award for Bankruptcy in 2014 and the Outstanding 1L Oral Argument Award in 2013. While in law school, he clerked for MedExpress, conducting legal research on state and federal healthcare laws and regulations to assist with compliance efforts where the company operates. Mr. Schott received an M.B.A. from Waynesburg University in 2008 and a B.S. in Business Management from Grove City College in 2001.
Mr. Schott is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

- Successfully defended quiet title, adverse possession and tortuous interference lawsuit and successfully removed lis pendens against real property on behalf of client-property owners by obtaining dismissal on preliminary objections
- Successfully obtained monetary settlement on behalf of client-property owners where contractor materially breached home improvement contract for a new deck and underdeck patio
- Successfully obtained monetary settlement on behalf of client-property owners where contractor materially breached home improvement contract for a new brick sidewalk and patio
- Successfully settled promissory estoppel, unjust enrichment, and breach of fiduciary duty claims on behalf of insurance producer and premium finance company related to insured’s bad-faith lawsuit against insurer arising out of fire loss claim
- Successfully settled equitable lien by agreement lawsuit on behalf of attorney-client related to retention of attorneys’ fee against which self-funded ERISA plan claimed subrogation interest for payment of medical costs on behalf of plan participant who obtained settlement in underlying medical malpractice claim
