Burns White’s Healthcare Litigation Department is a growing and dynamic practice focused on the representation of healthcare professionals and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. The team represents healthcare institutions in lawsuits involving antitrust and whistle blower claims, directors and officers liability, discrimination cases, business litigation, and medical staff credentialing disputes. The team also handles class-action lawsuits, as well as regulatory, products liability, toxic tort, and employment cases.

Essential Functions
- Prepare trial binders
- Review medical records and prepare timelines
- Draft summaries of discovery responses
- Complete bates stamping
- Track and follow up on outstanding expert payments
- Assist with scheduling
Job Requirements
- Paralegal Certificate or Degree or 1+ years legal experience
- Good listening skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Quick learner who is enthusiastic about learning
- Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Equipment, Physical/Mental Demands, Working Conditions
Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, typewriter, calculator, fax machine, duplicating machine, etc. Sitting for extended periods, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Dexterity to operate standard office machines. Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate in person and via telephone with internal and external customers. Able to deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities. Make decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas and technologies. Communicate and successfully interact with various personalities at all organizational levels.
