About the position…
Burns White offers Staff Attorneys the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s success in meaningful ways, while at the same time providing significant flexibility and work status options. Both full-time and part-time Staff Attorneys play an important role in supporting a wide variety of practice areas across the firm’s 12-office footprint. Staff Attorneys do interesting and challenging work, but don’t have the responsibility of file management or to develop new business.
Essential functions…
- Review medical records for liability purposes
- Answer discovery and draft pleadings
- Outline litigation plans
- Review new files and recommend strategies
- Conduct document reviews
- Complete legal research and analysis
- Prepare document summaries
- Assist trial teams
- Occasionally attend or observe virtual depositions
Qualifications include…
- Delaware license required
- Second license in NJ, NY, OH, PA, or WV a plus
- At least five years litigation experience
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical abilities
- Adaptability to work with multiple practice areas

The salary range for attorney positions is $90,000 – 180,000 based on position, length and applicability of experience, scope of responsibility, and ability to bring or potential to expand business.
