Attorney Douglas Hart obtains a defense verdict on behalf of a Commonwealth agency in a personal injury case in Dauphin County. The plaintiff was injured in an automobile accident that occurred while a moving pothole repair operation was being performed on the roadway. At that time, Plaintiff struck a vehicle owned by the Commonwealth agency participating in the roadway work operation. Plaintiff alleged that the Commonwealth agency was negligent when performing the roadway repairs and that the operation created a dangerous condition for motorists. After a four-day trial, the jury reached a unanimous defense verdict after deliberating for approximately 20 minutes.
