Six Attorneys Promoted to Members and Three to Equity Membership Status

Burns White is pleased to announce the promotion of six attorneys to Member, effective Jan. 1, 2021. These talented attorneys, located in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, and Wilkes-Barre, have diverse legal practices that support the needs of our clients, and the growth of the organization.

In addition, the firm has named three Members to Equity Membership status. These successful attorneys, located in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Wilmington, are thought-leaders in their industry and will bring an innovative approach to expanding the firm’s capabilities in supporting our clients.

Kathleen P. Dapper is a Member who focuses her practice on litigation. Her experience ranges from handling insurance coverage and extracontractual matters where she represents insurers in a variety of bad faith and coverage disputes, to working with clients as part of the firm’s Transportation and Logistics practice group. Ms. Dapper is a Hearing Committee Member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Dapper graduated from Villanova University School of Law, cum laude, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Xavier University.  Ms. Dapper is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Daniel W. Inadomi is a Member focusing his legal practice on commercial litigation, insurance coverage and extracontractual litigation, and financial institution litigation.  Mr. Inadomi graduated from Middlebury College with degrees in Economics and Biochemistry. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  Mr. Inadomi is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Philadelphia

Max R. Kimbrough is a Member of the Workers’ Compensation Group, defending insurance companies, self-insured employers and third-party administrators throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey in workers’ compensation claims.  Mr. Kimbrough is a member of the firm’s Committee for Diversity and Inclusion.  Mr. Kimbrough graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law.  Mr. Kimbrough received a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Philosophy from the University of Michigan.  Mr. Kimbrough is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mark T. Sottile is a Member in the Philadelphia office.  Mr. Sottile is a skilled trial attorney focusing on employment and commercial litigation. Mr. Sottile brings insight and experience to matters both in and out of the courtroom and works with clients in a variety of industries in all phases of litigation.  Mr. Sottile received his Juris Doctor from the Villanova University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Union College, summa cum laude.  Mr. Sottile is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Cherry Hill

Monica C. Fillmore is a Member in the Cherry Hill office.  Ms. Fillmore is a skilled litigator who represents healthcare providers and institutions in long-term care, medical malpractice, and dental malpractice matters. She received her Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law, and graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Culture.  Ms. Fillmore is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Wilkes-Barre

Amy Redington Riley is a Member in the Wilkes-Barre office.  Ms. Riley maintains a diverse civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on defending hospitals, physicians and long-term care facilities in professional and general liability claims.  Ms. Riley graduated from Boston University School of Law. Ms. Riley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comprehensive Social Science, magna cum laude, from Marywood University.  Ms. Riley is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Dorothy C. O’Neil is Co-Chair of the Family Law practice and represents clients in all family law matters, with an emphasis on complex divorce, custody, and support matters, as well as paternity matters, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, and protection from abuse cases.  Ms. O’Neil is trained in the collaborative divorce process by the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Ms. O’Neil graduated, magna cum laude, from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science from Gannon University.

Philadelphia

Anne Schmidt Frankel is a Member in the Philadelphia office, concentrating her practice on defending hospitals, physicians, and long-term care facilities against professional and general liability claims. She also represents these clients in premises liability, corporate liability, and employment matters.  Ms. Frankel is a member of the firm’s Rapid Response and Incident Management Team, a group of skilled attorneys who serve as the front line of defense and support in protecting clients facing police or regulatory investigations, including sexual misconduct, physical abuse and neglect, child abuse and inappropriate touching.   Ms. Frankel received her Juris Doctor from Widener University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, cum laude, from Northeastern University.

Wilmington

Maria R. Granaudo Gesty is a Member and works in the firm’s Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware offices. Ms. Granaudo Gesty focuses her practice on nursing home, assisted living, and medical malpractice defense matters and has addressed nursing home professionals on the potential liabilities associated with medical record documentation and on improving the standard of care in long-term care facilities.  Ms. Granaudo Gesty received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College, and graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law.
